I like design. 

 

These tables came out of a desire to use timber that otherwise would have been woodchipped. Nearly 100 years old, the timber is furniture grade and it's a real delight to be able to use it functionally.

 

The tables are very simple in design. I like the contrast between the metal and the timber, with both elements working well together. Softness and warmth of the wood. Hardness and clean lines of the metal.

 

The middle frame serves as a brace, a simple solution to providing lateral stability.

 

They beautiful to work from as workstations and can accommodate 8-10 people easily, each with their own computer screens

 

I have a lifelong appreciation of design having been surrounded by architects and developed a liking for Bauhaus design as a teenager.
